Bet on Recovery ("we," "us," "our") operates betonrecovery.org. We take your privacy seriously, especially given the sensitive nature of gambling recovery. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never see or store your actual password. When you use the app, we store your assessment results, module completion progress, daily check-in data, streak information, and any data you enter into exercises like the budget calculator.
We do not collect your real name unless you choose to provide it. We do not collect your physical address, phone number, or any financial account information. All payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, process, or store your credit card number, bank details, or other payment information. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
Your data is used solely to provide the recovery tools and track your progress within the app. We use your email to authenticate your account and send transactional emails (like password resets). We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your personal information with any third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with insurance companies, employers, or any other entities.
Your data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database with encryption at rest and in transit. All connections to our app use HTTPS encryption. Database access is controlled by Row Level Security, meaning your data is only accessible to you through your authenticated session. No other user can see your data.
You can view all data we have stored about you at any time through the app. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently remove all your data within 30 days. You can export your data at any time.
We use essential cookies only for maintaining your login session. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics that track individual users.
Bet on Recovery is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you via email before the changes take effect.
